In Seeing is Seeing 1, a video projector faces the mirror box. The image reflected from the mirror extends to the corner of the opposite wall. When a person in the video turns his head to the right, where the mirror is placed, his own image becomes distorted. In Seeing is Seeing 2, a pre-distorted image of a person is projected onto a structured surface. As the distorted image hits the surface, its perspective is corrected to its original state by the surface structure, which acts as a de-distortion tool.

Having lived as an immigrant for an extended period, I developed an interest in finding a universal means of communication that transcends specific cultures or languages. This led me to explore further into the physical senses inherent to most humans from birth, with a particular focus on vision. Can seeing and understanding share the same meaning? Senses are far more multi-layered and personal than language. Therefore, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to suggest that there exists as many languages as there are people, when all existing senses are replaced with language. This work later served as the inspiration for the production of TV Buddha - After Namjune Paik (2013).
